Cannot add Hosted Engine Host because of missing answersfile

Hi! Apperently there has been something gone wrong with the hosted engine install which I can perfectly start but cannot add any Host to the HA setup. I'm missing an answers.conf on my host where I did the installation. Has anyone an idea if I can fix this without a new full deploy ? Hi, In 4.0 you can access oVirt engine only with the same FQDN that was specified during engine-setup. If you have used different FQDN, you may change it using ovirt-engine-rename tool. Ovirt Node NG 4.0.0 wants to bridge my infiniband link

Hi list, I'm trying a test installation of the new Ovirt Node Image and engine before upgrading my 3.6 installation. In my current environment every hypervisor access the NFS shared data domain via infiniband. With a couple of vdsm hooks I was able to set the infiniband link in connected mode and set a MTU of 65520. In my case the infiniband link is used as a common NIC, I don't use RDMA, only IP over infiniband to access the data domain. Now, when I attempt to setup host networking, the system try to bridge the connection "ibstorage" (defined in networks tab) with ib0 device. But a non ethernet device cannot be bridged that way and host networking setup fails. Any idea or suggestion? With 3.6 (node and engine) all was fine. Unable to set up oVirt 4.0 HE using glusterfs storage

Hello, I thought I would ask the list if anyone is aware of this issue (or if I am doing something obviously wrong) before I submit a bug report. It looks like I am not able to choose glusterfs as a storage option for deploying a Hosted Engine in oVirt 4.0 Node Next. I believe it is failing to execute the following command: /sbin/gluster --mode=script --xml volume info mgmttank --remote-host=storage1.nullaxiom.com When I run the command manually, I get a blank line as output and checking in /var/log/glusterfs/cli.log, it seems to be exiting with error code -2. I have tried disabling the firewall on both host and gluster server, but it did not make a difference. I am able to manually mount the gluster volume on the host, and I had a working oVirt 3.6 installation using the same exact gluster server. Communicating with ovirt agent

is there any documentation o oVirt guest agent commands? To be more precise: i need to pass commands to oVirt guest agent from hypervisor. moving disk from nfs to iscsi

Team, I am trying to move my vms from one storage domain (NFS Shared) to another (iSCSI Shared)... Same DC. Two clusters. NFS is on cluser a and iscsi iss on cluster b. When I try to move the disk in "cluster a" I am not getting the option to move it the iscsi data domain on cluster b. Ovirt 3.6.6.... all centos 6.6 x86_64 hosts Any ideas why? Hi, Please take a look https://www.ovirt.org/develop/release-management/features/infra/aaa-jdbc/ where you can find more info about ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool. By default we remember several previous passwords and check for them during password change. You can change that policy using 'ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool settings' or you can use --force option during password change. ovirt-shell compatible with version 4?

Hi, after upgrading to oVirt 4.* the ovirt-shell won't connect. That's the installed version: ovirt-engine-cli-3.6.2.0-1.el7.centos.noarch Should this version work with the latest engine, this came from repo ovirt-4.0 ? Can't find ovirt-engine-cli-4.* in the repos. cheers gregor
