[ANN] oVirt 4.0.0 First Alpha Release is now available for testing

The oVirt Project is pleased to announce the availability of the First Alpha Release of oVirt 4.0.0 for testing, as of April 5th, 2016 This is pre-release software. Please take a look at our community page[1] to know how to ask questions and interact with developers and users. All issues or bugs should be reported via oVirt Bugzilla[2]. This pre-release should not to be used in production, and it is not feature complete This release is available now for: * Fedora 23 * Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 or later * CentOS Linux (or similar) 7.2 or later This release supports Hypervisor Hosts running: * Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 or later * CentOS Linux (or similar) 7.2 or later * Fedora 23 * oVirt Next Generation Node 4.0 See the release notes draft [3] for installation / upgrade instructions and a list of new features and bugs fixed. The engine- commands

I've been playing these and wondering what these really do. I know engine-iso-uploader and engine-image-uploader really work since I've used them but the others don't do anything useful or give me wrong information. I'm running these on the Engine VM in a hosted-engine deployment with version 3.64. engine-config list outputs nothing at all. I won't try the others yet. engine-manage-domains edit --domain=Adomain simply tells me the the domain adomain does not exist and it's converted it all to lowercas

I attached a image disk to a VM , but set it using the wrong disk profile, I powered off the VM, and then tried to change it on the GUI. The operation in the GUI is ok. But nothing is done. Just looked at http://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/virtual/ovirt/ovirt-3.6/rpm/el6= /noarch/ and it would appear that the latest packages aren't available yet. I ended up modifying the yum repo file to not use the mirror list. Just to = save anyone else the hassle of troubleshooting! Can't start VMs (Unable to get volume size for domain)

I’m running 3.6.2 rc1 with hosted engine on an FCP storage domain. As of yesterday, I can’t run some VMs. I’ve experience corruption on others (I now have a Windows VM that blue screens on boot).
