Are you sure these are actual Nehalem CPUs you have in there? Try to drop the cluster level lower than Nehalem, maybe something will pick up, but as far as I remember the Dell 8G series, they were the first to even have VT, and aren't that great for it. I know the server looks like a real beast, but a modern 1U pizzabox nowadays can deliver better performance and much more compute. Are there some general strategyhow to Iscsi strorage domain?

Hi, I have 2x40TB domains each are exported with iser/iscsi with ib and 10Gb interfaces. For sure they are RAID6 storage little bit save on failure. But I was wondered if any way to backup those domains. particularly master one. I was thinking somehow DRBD based replication, with lvm snapshots etc. But it looks like overkill. Will be nice somehow to deploy replicated/HA Master domain with ability to backp on tapes as well. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks, Arman.

So in trying to use keys instead of root/password, per the ovirt GUI I enter the address of the host, specify port 2222 (sshd listening here will allow ssh into root via keys), check the "SSH Public Key" button, copy the contents of the key provided in the UI to the /root/.ssh/authorized_keys file on the node being added, and get: Error while executing action: Cannot install Host with empty password. Custom VM template Over Cross Datacenter

Hi, I have some custom OS templates...how i can use my those OS template on my another Ovirt Datacenter ?? I tried with export the template on another location and then try to add the same NFS to another datacenter ...but can not add because of the data domain already exists....so i rename the nfs folder and create it and then move the data under images from previous folder to new folder....but it didn't work....is there any way to copy or move the Templates and can use later on the same datacenter or another datacenter ??? Proper way to change iSCSI and NFS IP

What is the proper way to change iSCSI and NFS IP used to access the storage domains? My IB fabric which was doing storage crashed and we have a scheduled maintenance window for next week at which time I'd like to either move my storage to 10GbE or back to IB. I was able to move things off IB to standard TCP/IP by editing the database but that is likely not the correct way. I am on ovirt 3.4.3. My NFS domain is the master and iSCSI data domain is only used by two VMs while NFS is used by ~30 VMs. Thanks, - Trey
