Ubuntu and Debian Guest Agent Not Working Properly

Hi All, I have installed new guest agent in the Ubuntu 14.04 and Debian 7.6....it's working fine except shutdown and reboot....even i click on the reboot button but it doesn't affect any thing on the VM (i.e the logs on the dashboard says VM rebooted successfully but actually it's rebooted...remain in the same stage...) I am using Ovirt 3.4.3 and the following Ubuntu and Debian guest agent.... http://www.ovirt.org/Feature/GuestAgentUbuntu http://www.ovirt.org/Feature/GuestAgentDebian Both the Url said that The guest agent also provides the following actions :- - Shutdown/Reboot from within the Guest OS Thanks, Punit

Messed up UI and missing CSS

Hello, I am using rpms from the ovirt-3.5 repositories on ovirt.org, to install and deploy ovirt-engine, and the UI I get in Firefox (f19) looks like the attached screenshot. I'm installing engine rpms on CentOS 6.5, and have patternfly1 rpm installed there as well. When using web inspector, the browser tries to retrieve style.min.css but gets a 404. Is there anything that I am missing? -- Dima Kuznetsov

Hi, We are going to start composing oVirt 3.5.0 RC5 today 2014-10-09 as soon as the ovirt-engine package finish to build. The bug tracker [1] shows no blockers: The bugs keyworded as Regression have been reviewed by maintainers and not marked as blockers[4] Features completed are marked in green on Features Status Table [2] There are still 34 bugs [3] targeted to 3.5.0 which will be moved automatically to 3.5.1 once the build will be released. Maintainers / Assignee: If you're aware of something that should block the release, please raise it as soon as possible. To oVirt or not to oVirt

Good day all! have been a KVM user/admin for the last few years and have configured all aspects using either VirtManager or CLI where required. am about to reinstall my development system and started to look at using CentOS7 as the host, and to get a more recent version of KVM. After a little search around I came across oVirt and am considering whether to install this now and use it as the main configuration tool. do have a couple of questions which hopefully somebody will be able to help with? at present I am using OpenVSwitch with KVM so that I could use the vlan capabilities and wish to ask whether will need to move away from that to a different solution ? On my host I already have about 10 VMs that I wish to keep and whether I could migrate them into oVirt ? I have been using LVM volumes as raw storage for the VM images so presume would need to convert them to a different format for use ? one of my VMs actually acts as a storage provider, using Quantastor, which then presents storage to other VMs using iSCSI which hope I can still use in oVirt ? Apologies if these questions are a little vague but am trying to get my head around how it would all work. Thank you, Phil

Hi, I've put my host on maintenance, then i configured iscsi offload for my broadcom cards changing target's file's (192.168.12.2,3260 and 192.168.12.4,3260) in my node iqn.1986-03.com.hp:storage.msa2324i.1226151a6 to use interface bnx2i.d8:d3:85:67:e3:bb, but after activating the host, configurations are back to default.
