[Users] Windows 2008 R2 Guest - Cannot load drivers

Hi all I am trying to install Windows 2008 R2 x64 as guest OS. Installation requires some additional drivers to be loaded. I suppose these are virtio-win drivers. I downloaded latest virtio-win drivers, mountet iso when it was required. I chose drivers under WIN8, but every time I load those drivers, Windows crashes with BSoD. I tried to configure guest VM with IDE disk, but then it still requires additional drivers. So I am not sure anymore what drivers Windows is missing and how to add them. Edgars

Hello Friends, *I am working on Ovirt Data Center. Basically here in our DC we are providing virtual Machines to our clients, And they access virtual machine console using spiceX or spice-xpi package. * *But here i am facing a problem related keyboard keys. When i access any machine from Linux platform my all keyboard keys are working in guest OS. But when i access the same guest from windows platform, Then there some keys are not working in guest OS. like (double code or single code )key is not working. [Users] Datacenter is down

Hello, after some shutdowns and reboots of my ovirt cluster now the data center is down: - gluster volumes are all UP - all storage (Data/ISO) is inactive - Datacenter is down. I have tried to click on all "activate" buttons I have found but nothing happens. Only one time I got: - failed to activate storage domain - "failed to reconstruct master domain for data center" What can I do now?? Thanks, Mario

[Users] ovirt nagios plugin email flood on engine upgrade

Hi René, a question - when we upgrade the engine, we move the service to down. at that point, nagios is sending lots of emails on each failing monitored resource due to inability to connect to the API. Is thee a way to report this "once" per the root cause for all monitored resources? Thanks, Itamar

Hi Guys Any know issue why we are not able to start VM due to permission issue on disk image file .. as per docs ownership should be vdsm:kvm byt not sure why its showing below used - both ovirt-node-iso-3.0.1-1.0.1.vdsm.el6 & ovirt-node-iso-3.0.1-1.0.2.vdsm.el6 same issue [ using NFS Domain ] VM n0001vdap is down. [Users] Crashed controller node

I rebuilt the controller node for my oVirt environment and restored the DB. However, all running VMs now show up with a question mark and all storage domains and data centers show red. However, all VMs are running. How could I go about doing a complete fresh install of the controller and then connect it back up with the existing environment. I have found bits and pieces of the answer around the web, but nothing that clearly addresses this situation. While building a virtual machine we ran into an error "Not enough MAC addresses left in MAC Address Pool." Reasons:VAR__TYPE__INTERFACE,VAR__ACTI ON__ADD,MAC_POOL_NOT_ENOUGH_MAC_ADDRESSES 2013-10-26 14:47:16,591 ERROR [org.ovirt.engine.api.restapi.resource.AbstractBackendResource] (ajp--127.0 .0.1-8702-12) Operation Failed: [Not enough MAC addresses left in MAC Address Pool.] This led me to look at the engine config where I see these MacPoolRanges: 00:1A:4A:97:5E:00-00:1A:4A:97:5E:FF version: general MaxMacsCountInPool: 100000 version: general The MacPoolRange would seem to be the limiting factor here, cutting us off at 256 MAC addresses, which happens to be the number of virtual machine we currently have. I assume that updating the MacPoolRange and restarting the engine would resolve this issue. Has anybody experienced this issue? Why would the pool size have 256 and the Max entry be set to 100000, that seems like a large difference.
