[Users] Disk live migration ..isuue

Hi Guys anyone have any idea why after move disk from 1 storage domain to another it creates 2 disks under target domain 1- preallocated 2- thin pro Please find attached output below moved VM-2_disk1 from "VM-disk" storage domain to "Migration domain" But under *"Migration" *storage domain 2 disk & under "*virtual machine"*disk section only 1 disk ..why .. is it due to snapshot which was created while move or do we need to manually delete another disk after move. [Users] Error 500 with python sdk on3.3

(My apologies if the message is received twice by the mailing list) I've got a 500 when a try to get the list of vms with python sdk on oVirt 3.3 with the statement : vms=api.vms.list(cluster='local_cluster') Is it a known issue ? I've also notice the same problem with rbovirt. [Users] Live Migration failed oVirt 3.3 Nightly

Hi, I recently upgraded to the oVirt Nightly repo because I needed some patches not yet in 3.3, but it appears to have broken the live migration. Both of the nodes have the storage (glusterfs replicate), oVirt gives the error: Migration failed due to Error: Fatal error during migration (VM: gl01, Source: HV02, Destination: HV01). It seems to successfully transfer but then the receiving vdsm node gives the following error: Thread-58935::ERROR::2013-09-13 18:36:52,004::vm::2062::vm.Vm::(_startUnderlyingVm) vmId=`3867341c-b465-4285-9c35-0c5972527808`::The vm start process failed if ret is None:raise libvirtError('virDomainLookupByUUIDString() failed', conn=self) Suggestions? Hi, I am getting the exact same issue with a non-AIO oVirt 3.3.0-2.fc19 setup. The only workaround I've found so far is to delete the offending VM, recreate, and reattach the disks. The recreated VM will work normally until it is shutdown, after which it will fail to start with the same error. Engine and VDSM log excepts below. Versions: - Fedora 19 (3.10.10-200) - oVirt 3.3.0-2 - VDSM 4.12.1 - libvirt 1.1.2-1 - gluster 3.4.0.8 I'll upgrade to the latest oVirt 3.3 RC to see if the issue persists. Both machines are running F19, both have all current F19 updates and all current ovirt- beta repo updates. This is on a GlusterFS domain, hosted from a volume on the AIO machine. Also, I have the neutron external network provider configured, but these VMs aren't using one of these networks. selinux permissive on both machines, firewall down on both as well (firewall rules for gluster don't appear to be set by the engine) 1. Create a new VM w/ virtio disk 2. VM runs normally 3. Power down VM 4. VM won't start, w/ error msg: internal error unexpected address type for ide disk 5. Changing disk to IDE, removing and re-adding, VM still won't start 6. If created w/ IDE disk from the beginning, VM runs and restarts as expected. Is anyone else experiencing something like this? It appears to render the Gluster FS domain type totally unusable. I wasn't having this problem last week... So I changed the CPU=0A= type of the cluster and was able to understand what you think of. =0A= The emulated machine will go blank. After reactivating a node=0A= the value goes back to pc-1.0=0A= =0A= I played with the cluster settings in between and cannot say if the=0A= value was empty when the error occured. Just in case the emulated =0A= machine value was empty during restart of ovirt-engine. Did I loose =0A= the machine because of that? Hi, I've just performed a clean install of CentOS 6.4 x86_64 (Minimal) along with oVirt 3.3 from the official EL6 Beta repository. This resulted in dependency conflicts between the official oVirt repo and EPEL. The following repositories were installed and activated: # yum localinstall http://resources.ovirt.org/releases/ovirt-release-el6-8-1.noarch.rpm -y # yum localinstall http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm -y Followed by installation of the main oVirt engine and all-in-one configuration: # yum install ovirt-engine-setup-plugin-allinone -y This resulted in the following fatal error: Error: Package: vdsm-4.12.1-2.el6.x86_64 (ovirt-beta) Requires: mom >= 0.3.2-3 Available: mom-0.3.0-1.el6.noarch (epel) mom = 0.3.0-1.el6 Error: Package: glusterfs-api-3.4.0-8.el6.x86_64 (glusterfs-epel) Requires: glusterfs = 3.4.0-8.el6 Available: glusterfs-3.2.7-1.el6.i686 (epel) glusterfs = 3.2.7-1.el6 Error: Package: vdsm-4.12.1-2.el6.x86_64 (ovirt-beta) Requires: glusterfs >= 3.4.0 Available: glusterfs-3.2.7-1.el6.i686 (epel) glusterfs = 3.2.7-1.el6 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest To resolve, priorities have to be set within the yum repository definitions: # yum install yum-priorities Adding arbitrary priorities to the oVirt and EPEL repositories rectified the issue - giving EPEL a lower value. For example: /etc/yum.repos.d/el6-ovirt.repo [ovirt-beta] name=Beta builds of the oVirt project baseurl=http://ovirt.org/releases/beta/rpm/EL/$releasever/ enabled=1 skip_if_unavailable=1 gpgcheck=0 priority=20 priority=20 /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo [epel] name=Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux 6 - $basearch #baseurl=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/$basearch mirrorlist=https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-6&arch=$bas… failovermethod=priority enabled=1 gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-EPEL-6 priority=25 The priority setting must be enabled for each repo definition, Once complete, the installation succeeds without issue. Hi, I need help. I cant figure how to configure "logical networks" with my servers. My configuration is the following: ovirt manager 2 interfaces, eth0 and eth1 bonded ifcfg-bond0 DEVICE=bond0 IPADDR=192.168.44.105 NETWORK=192.168.44.0 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 GATEWAY=192.168.44.254 USERCTL=no BOOTPROTO=none ONBOOT=yes ovirt hosts (2 servers) 2 interfaces, eth0 and eth1 bonded for management ifcfg-bond0 DEVICE=bond0 IPADDR=192.168.43.10 (192.168.43.9 on the second server) NETWORK=192.168.43.0 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 GATEWAY=192.168.43.254 USERCTL=no BOOTPROTO=none ONBOOT=yes 2 interfaces, eth2 and eth3 bonded, used for VM networks. This is my problem. These 2 interfaces are exposed to a network trunk with a few vlan's. Do I need to create all the bridges for the vlan's at the SO level?? Can I create them in the web interface?
