[Users] iSCSI bug in vdsm/ovirt?

On my fully updated Fedora 18 ovirt test environment, one of my nodes refused to attach to the iSCSI domain where it was working before. The problem was the config file in the iSCSI was empty: # find /var/lib/iscsi/ /var/lib/iscsi/ /var/lib/iscsi/nodes /var/lib/iscsi/nodes/iqn.1999-07.com.gurulabs:ovirt /var/lib/iscsi/nodes/iqn.1999-07.com.gurulabs:ovirt/10.100.0.14,3260 <-- empty /var/lib/iscsi/ifaces /var/lib/iscsi/slp /var/lib/iscsi/static /var/lib/iscsi/isns /var/lib/iscsi/send_targets This command fixed the problem rm -rf /var/lib/iscsi/nodes/* && reboot

[Users] Disk quota and templates bug?

Hi, we've encountered an quota allocation problem which seems like a bug. Using engine 3.2.2. on CentOS, datacenter in enforced quota mode. Scenario: - Create a virtual machine, seal it and create template from it. Assign some quota to it. - Create a new user, set new quota limits to his username - This user creates a new VM from this template. In new server/desktop dialog, resource allocation, new disk gets set to user's quota (user only has permission for it's own quota). Create VM. - When VM is created it inherits the templates quota and not user's, as it should. So user is using templates disk quota. Quota for memory and vcpu works ok. No errors in engine.log.

[Users] Copy disks?

Hi All, When in the top tab Disks and a disk is selected I can do Add, Remove, Move but Copy is always greyed out, no matter what I try. Doesn't matter if the disk is thin provisioned or not, whether it is attached to a VM or not, whether the VM is running or not. How does one copy a disk? Or when is that button active? Hi, I have a ovirt "cluster" with one manamgement node and a single virtualization node. After fiddling with the database manually, I had to restore a database backup. The database backup was from a time when the host hat 7 virtual machines - it now has 9. So there are now two machines "missing" from the web-interface. They're still running on the node itself but ovirt-engine keeps logging: [org.ovirt.engine.core.vdsbroker.VdsUpdateRunTimeInfo] (DefaultQuartzScheduler_Worker-8) VDS::UpdateVmRunTimeInfo Error: found VM on a VDS that is not in the database! [Users] iSCSI and snapshots

Hi, I'm trying to understand how ovirt manages snapshots to start using them for vm backups. I have my vms to use a iscsi LUN for the system (each has its own) and I have no extra space to create an LVM snapshot in the VM disk. When I hit "create" in the vm snapshot tab, it creates the snapshot and reports ok, but I see no info in the right pannel (disk, ram,etc) and nothing is created in the data storage of the DC, so I don't get where is ovirt storing the snapshot data. Do I have to create an export storage domain?. Regards, Juan Pablo

[Users] Fedora 18 and usb pass-through

I've noticed with Fedora 17 that usb devices plugged in after a spice session is initiated automagically pass-through to the virtual desktop without manually selecting them but not so with Fedora 18. They pass through if you manually select them from the drop down bar. Any way to make 18 work like 17??
