[Users] Problem with Win 7 VM creation

Hello everybody and Antoni, I have changed my NFS server to my engine machine and finally I have had to create a Fedora 17 VM machine in my oVirt system and now I'm trying to create a Win 7 VM machine and when I want to Run once my machine, in Boot options I don't have the "virtio-win" driver to attach to floppy VM and when machine try to install system in virtual hard disk it ask for a driver for the disk. How can I install this driver and to be attached to my VM floppy? Many thanks in avanced, Juanjo.

All nfs mount points were running okay at that time. After the VM has been snapshoot-ed went into pause mode and had to un-pause it from GUI, but the VM was still responsive through network and operations. Has anybody seen something related to this by now or it's just related to 3.1 version ? Mentioning the fact that I did a research on the similar mailing list topics and could not find something related to this error. I would happily provide logs if needed. [Users] How to import KVM machine

Hey, I've recently developed sample User portals written on top of the SDK (Python and Java), and Ruby on top of rbovirt (partial REST bindings on top of the oVirt engine). All these examples are placed in the samples-userportal git: http://gerrit.ovirt.org/gitweb?p=samples-portals.git Each language portal have its own README file that explain how to run the server, the Ruby and Python are self serving application, the java portal is hosted in JBoss. You can use them as additional examples on how to use the SDK for basic VM operations, Shahar Havivi.

[Users] Install problems

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on an issue I'm seeing? I've followed the instructions on the wiki to try and get an ovirt setup running. (F17 minimal, updated, add repo, yum install ovirt-engine, engine-setup) All that seemed to go OK, and the database creation etc seemed to be fine, however starting the ovirt-engine service seems to have failed to start, was getting a http 503 error on trying the web interface. Looking deeper into it, it seems that jboss-as seems to be failing to start with some errors around logging. when I run systemctl start ovirt-engine.service i get the following in the logs: Feb 6 14:33:52 host1 engine-service.py[25212]: Started engine process 25213. [Users] MAC in use when importing/cloning a VM

Hi, When importing VMs into our export domain, they appear in a list that allows me to restore them. The restore window allows to clone instead of restoring, especially in case of a pure import. Many imports went all right, but some recent one failed due to a MAC address already in use somewhere. The import window does not seem to give a way to change the network setup of the VM, even if it is imported and not started. I don't know how to modify the interface setup of a vm before importing/cloning it? -- Nicolas Ecarnot

[Users] error using cli on ovirt 3.1

I'm trying to setup a way to restart a large group of windows vms on a schedule. I'm getting a connection failure that seems related to the use of https but I'm not sure. error: __init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'source_address' I ran: ovirt-shell -A <path to server cert/certfile exported from browser> -c and my .ovirtshellrc is: [ovirt-shell] username = "admin@internal" url = https://my.internal.url/api #insecure = False #filter = False #timeout = -1 password = ********************** I tried putting the ca_cert = <path to cert> but that clearly was not allowed in .ovirtshellrc ideas? -- -- James P.
