Sorry for the new thread but I just joined the list. The following excerpt from Nathan Stratton's 389DS log shows the same thing that I've been seeing when trying to use IPA. It appears that the directory server type is being misidentified as active directory hence the search on samaccounttype and userprincipalname. [Users] Run only the agent on centos/redhat

[Users] Problems attaching ISO Domain to second dc

Hi, I had one iso domain attached to a DC (nfs based). I had second DC (fc based) and wanted to share the same iso domain as above. When i tried to attach the same ISO domain to the fc dc, it failed and all the other storage domains (data and master, nfs based) present in the nfs dc, went down/inactive. for some time i could see the status as "Contend" ( dont remember if it was against the storage domains or dc overall) ISO storage domains (backed by nfs) should be able to be attached to more than 1 dc.. but it failed for me... what could be the reason ? thanx, deepak

I am working on getting ovirt working with our LDAP enviornment and have run into a few issues. Based on my googling my understanding is that ovirt should query DNS for a ldap SRV record. However based on my wireshark captures I never see such a request. I ended up installing phpPgAdmin and found the vdc_options table and someting called DomainName. I figured that was a good place to start so I put our domain there and now I see the DNS SRV queries. I am experimenting with the recently released oVirt product. I installed ovirt-node 2.2.2 on a server, and the ovirt engine on a new Fedora 16 installation. I attached the ovirt-node to the manager, got it up and ready for use. I created two additional NFS domains, one for data and one for export. Those two and the automatically installed one called "ISODomain" are all three "green" and "active". On the ovirt manager Fedora box, I used engine-iso-uploader to upload an ISO to "ISODomain". The command was engine-iso-uploader -i ISODomain upload my.iso This completed okay, and the ISO file has been copied there: # du -k /isodomain/ 24 /isodomain/48a5390f-2f86-485c-8537-b6bc9dd71796/dom_md 3507196 /isodomain/48a5390f-2f86-485c-8537-b6bc9dd71796/images/11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111111 3507200 /isodomain/48a5390f-2f86-485c-8537-b6bc9dd71796/images 3507228 /isodomain/48a5390f-2f86-485c-8537-b6bc9dd71796 3507232 /isodomain/ # pwd /isodomain/48a5390f-2f86-485c-8537-b6bc9dd71796/images/11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111111 [root@oravm3 11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111111]# ls -l total 3507192 -rw-r-----. 1 vdsm kvm 3591360512 Feb 23 13:24 OracleLinux-R6-U2-Server-x86_64-dvd.iso The problem is that I can't see the ISO from the ovirt manager.
