Unexpected SSO error with first task

Dear oVirt, In our software tests, we deploy oVirt VMs using ansible and teardown also using ansible. We noticed that each time we run nightly tests, using Jenkins user in ovirt, in one of the Jobs, first task, creating VM, fails with following error, TASK [Login to oVirt] ********************************************************** An exception occurred during task execution. The trouble bothered me for a long time;Some times my vm will crush and I cant shutdown it,I had to reboot the ovirt-node to slove it; the vm's error below The ovirt-node's error below The vm's threading on the ovirt-node, the IO ratio is 100% and the vm's process change to defunct I can not kill it,every time I had to shutdown the ovirt-node on the engine website ,the vm's status always in the way to shutdown ,even if I wait for it for hours; It either failed or is shutting down and the "power off" cant shutdown the vm too. ---------------------------------------------------------------- The other infomation about my ovirt-node node-version： node hardware zhouhao(a)vip.friendtimes.net

Hello, I see that there is this Ansible module for vSphere that contains also the state "restarted": https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/modules/vmware_guest_powerstate_mod… For oVirt I see the ovirt_vm module where state can be one of: [ absent, next_run, present, registered, running, stopped, suspended, exported ] Can we think to add a restart / restarted one to it too? BTW: I see discrepancy between this page: https://www.ovirt.org/develop/release-management/features/infra/ansible_mod… where many module names and links to github source are plural (eg ovirt_disks) and actual ansible docs and github sources that are singular (eg. ovirt_disk) Thanks, Gianluca

Under "Compute -> Hosts -> Host Name -> Storage Devices" one can create new Gluster Bricks on free partitions. How can i do this via the REST API?

ovirtmgmt STP disabled - any reason behind that

Hi All, I recently got an issue and due to lack of debug time , I'm still not sure if it was a loop on the network.Can someone clarify why the ovirtmgmt bridge has STP disabled ? Any reason behind that ? Also, what is the proper way to enable STP on those bridges ? For now , I have set highest priority of the STP on my router and I don't expect the issue to reoccur (if it really was a loop), but I want to avoid future issues like that. Recently both oVirt node and Hypervisor have moved to gluster v6 (although I have moved a little bit earlier). For me v6 of Gluster is quite stable and if you dig up really nice , you will be able to even setup 'gtop' which gives great info. Ovirt is quite well integrated with gluster - doing health checks ,provide monitoring, allow creating additional gluster volumes and many more. Still, if you have FC available - it should be way easier to setup and tune. Docs are one of the weak stuff , but you can always check RHV (4.0+) and Oracle docs - as oVirt is upstream of RedHat's and Oracle's Virtualization. Hey All, Seeing GlusterFS up to version 7, do any of the oVirt versions support anything higher then 3.X? Or is Gluster not the preferred distributed file system choice for oVirt? -- Thx, TK.
