grubx64.efi not found

Hello, After the reboot of a fresh install of ovirt node, the uefi boot complains that : Failed to open \EFI\centos\grubx64.efi I have to reboot on the installation CD, get a shell from the rescue entry : mkdir /tmp/ovirt mount /tmp/sda1 /tmp/ovirt cp /run/install/repo/EFI/BOOT/grubx64.efi /tmp/ovirt/EFI/centos/ reboot And then the system boot I have tried on two servers several times, always the same things how can i find what happened ? VM resource allocation and IO Threads

Hello, can anyone give any pointer to deeper information about what in subject and the value for "Num Of IO Threads" configuration, best practices and to-be-expected improvements? I read also here: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_virtualization/4.1/ht… but in some points it seems not so clear to me: eg: If a virtual machine has more than one disk, you can enable or change the number of IO threads to improve performance. but also Red Hat recommends using the default number of IO threads, which is 1. There is also a note about deactivation and activation of disks: does it mean that even if I poweroff the VM and change its config I have to make this step after? Anyone has run benchmarks? Does it make sense if my VM has 3 disks to configure 6 IO threads for example? Do IO threads map to SCSI controllers inside the guest or what? Thanks in advance, Gianluca

can't use a iscsi target as a storage domain

Hi, I give a try to 4.2 alpha andit seems to be a regression with registering a iscsi target as a storage domain. I'm able to login to the target, but when selecting the lun, clicking on OK does nothing else. Ovirt 4.2 Lab on ESXi

Dears, I'm trying to setup a lab for Ovirt 4.2 on VMware ESXi 6.5. I checked "Expose hardware assisted virtualization to the guest OS" and "Enable virtualized CPU performance counters" options to activate the nested virtualization. I installed Ovirt node and I try to setup a self hosted engine on it. All pre-configrations were done successfully. But when arriving to step "Running engine-setup on the appliance", the Hosted engine VM wouldn't start. I open the VM console, it stuck a bios level. It display the following : SeaBIOS (Version 1.10.2-3.el7_4.1) Machine UUID ced5025d-eec1-458a-991c-cc3bba9392dd Does anybody already encountered this issue? Is there any more parameters to set in the ESXi for it to work? Thanks for your help Regards,

Starting from 4.1.5 oVirt supports libgfapi [5]. Using libgfapi provides a real performance boost for ovirt when using GlusterFS . Due to a known issue [6], using this will break live storage migration. This is expected to be fixed soon. If you do not use live storage migration you can give it a try. Ok, sorry here but my mistake. The web GUI for oVirt is *not* accessible at all and that error stands from the engine-setup command I ran. The so called web GUI was actually a copy of webvirtmgr, not oVirt.
