Hi Fabrice, The "hugepages" custom property value in oVirt should be set to *size of the pages in KiB* (i.e. 1GiB = 1048576, 2MiB = 2048). In addition, it is recommended to set the huge page size of the VM to the largest size supported by the host. In the configuration you sent, the huge page size of the VM is set to 64 KiB and since the VM's allocated memory size is at least 32,768 MiB then it requires at least (32768 * 1024/64=) 524,288 pages. Since you only have 120 pages declared in the host then it failed with an error "...there are not enough free huge pages to run the VM". So to solve the problem, please change the VM's huge page size to be the same as the host's huge page supported size which is 1GiB and therefore hugepages value should be 1048576 KiB instead of 64: <custom_property> <name>hugepages</name> <value>*1048576*</value> </custom_property> Please note that since total VM's memory size is no more than 64 GB then only 64 pages will be needed by the VM and it's < 120 pages supported by the host and therefore OK. Unable to make Single Sign on working on Windows 7 Guest

On the case I'll be able to create an installer, what is the name of the Application need to be there, in order to ovirt detects that Ovirt Guest agent is installed? I have created an installer adding OvirtGuestService files and the Product Name to be shown, a part of the command line post installs.. I have tried with "ovirt-guest-agent" and "Ovirt guest agent" Names for the application installed on Windows 7 guest and even both are presented on ovirt VM Applications tab, on any case LogonVDScommand appears. There is other option to make it work now? Thanks in advance, Felipe

Failed to deploy ovirt engine with "hosted-engine --deploy"

Hi: I'm new to ovirt. I followed the guide at the page https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/self-hosted/chap-Deploying_Self-Hosted_…, started to run "hosted-engine --deploy". It got stuck at the stage TASK [Get local VM IP] for about 5 minutes, and failed. Did a search but came out with nothing. Hi Everyone, I am encountering the following issue on a single instance hyper-converged 4.2 setup. The following fio test was done: fio --randrepeat=1 --ioengine=libaio --direct=1 --gtod_reduce=1 --name=test --filename=test --bs=4k --iodepth=64 --size=4G --readwrite=randwrite The results are very poor doing the test inside of a vm with a prealocated disk on the ssd store: ~2k IOPS Same test done on the oVirt node directly on the mounted ssd_lvm: ~30k IOPS Same test done, this time on the gluster mount path: ~20K IOPS What could be the issue that the vms have this slow hdd performance ( 2k on ssd !! )?
