Hi,
1) is it enough to add a hook.py in /usr/libexec/vdsm/hooks/before_vm_sta=
rt directory , and then shut down and reboot a guest to
see this hook.py invoked ?
2) when running manually my hook.py, I got following error :
ImportError: No module named hooking
Do I have to install anything to solve this issue ?
Thanks for help.

Where can I set the good permission ?

Still not possible to resize hosted engine disk?
by Cristian Mammoli
Hi, I'm using 3.6.2 pre and using hosted engine over iscsi. The
appliance provisioned a 10GB virtual disk, even if the LUN is 100GB. How
can I extend the vm disk? From the gui it doesn't seem to be possible
(VM is not managed by the engine).
Thanks

Unable to start nor to migrate vm
by Arsène Gschwind
Hi,
I'm having trouble with our ovirt environment, i'm not able to start VMs
nor to migrate running ones, i'm getting the following error:
libvirtError: error from service: ListActivatableNames: Did not receive
a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a
reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply
timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
Any idea what causes this error?

How to add faster NIC to oVirt cluser / host?
by Christophe TREFOIS
Dear all,
I have currently a data center with two clusters and each cluster had 1 host.
On one of the hosts, I now enabled 10 GbE NIC called p4p1. Currently everything is going over a 1 GbE NIC called em1 (ovirtmgmt).
My question now is, how I could add my 10 GbE NIC to the setup for instance to use for transferring data during transmissions to export domain or to simply replace the 1 GbE?
I prefer little downtime (eg only temp network loss), but a full downtime (shutting down) could be acceptable.
Thank you for any pointers or starting points you could provide,
Kind regards,
—
Christophe

Graphics protocol SPICE+VNC question
by Gianluca Cecchi
Hello,
I was navigating through Hosted Engine VM editing in 3.6.1 GUI and actually
I see that for each VM I have an option called "SPICE+VNC" for Graphics
Protocol I didn't notice before....
Is this new? Does it mean that I can connect with both protocols to a VM
defined this way?
BTW: can I edit graphics protocol of HE VM in web admin gui and in
particular can I set it to SPICE+VNC?
Thanks in advance,
Gianluca
