[Users] Using vioserial in Win7/2008R2 stalls the guest

This happens both on = guests that have been active for a while without the driver, and then you t= ry loading it, or with installing new guests and loading this particular dr= iver in the windows installer. I have downloaded the virtio-win-0.1.30.iso = from linux-kvm ftp. Has anyone else noticed this in oVirt-3.1? Hello, I'm writing to the ml to know something about ovirt : Is there any possibilité to define a vlan per vNic (pvid and/or trunk) , for each vnic of VM ? I'm working with openvswitch and i can define this. Well, for us, it's the absolute needed (and killing) feature to define well known n-tiers architecture in a virtual world (web fronted, BDD, load-balancer and so on). Hi, I'm trying to install Fedora 17 on a VM on Ovirt 3.1, but when the installation Xorg starts the VM just hangs and cpu goes to 100%, this also happens with the live cd. Anyone got this problem? Any fix?

Hi all, I am starting a small hosting business and want to use oVirt w/ KVM as my virtualization platform. I currently have 2 host servers and an iSCSI NAS. Do I need a dedicated machine to run oVirt? Can I run it from a VM? Can I use the all-in-one solution in a Production environment, with a 2nd host? ... would I need to install oVirt on both hosts, in the event that one of my servers went down? I am trying to see how I can survive if my oVirt server fails. It would be great if it ran from a VM but I can also see issues with doing that... Another option would be to run oVirt on my workstation and have it connect to my 2 host servers in colocation over the internet? Please let me know how you've accomplished an oVirt setup with 2 servers. Thank you! Nic

Hi, I believe that issue you're experience caused by connecting to ssl secured site using http protocol [1], please change protocol to 'https' in rhevm_uri and use ssl port accordingly, [1] in this mode, server reply with empty string instead of actual data. Hi I Installed ovirt 3.1 all in one package under centos 6.3 . but when i trying to install localhost as virtualization node (I have one server with local storage) i got a error: The required action is taking longer than allowed by configuration. I know the reason for it. i have very slow connection. I think ovirt clean yum metadata and try to get metadata again. but my internet connection is very slow (about 64Kb/s) and takes a lot of time to finish. how can i increase the allowed time by configuration or some change on postgresql database.? The problems I run into now: - After node installation the network interfaces are both disabled. I had to login the node with the admin login and enable my network interfaces This is a bit cumbersome as I would expect the NIC's to be enabled with dhcp so I don't have to login each machine - We have Intel Xenon E5520 Nehalem based cpu's in these local storage nodes. These are still recognized as the Conroe family. Even though BZ#737104 was supposed to have been fixed. Hi, I installed ovirt 3.1 from dre repo on centos 6 using allinone plugin from that repo it timed-out during adding local host when I logged into web management, I can see on host's tab that local_host failed to be installed and NFS ISO domain (which actually a local folder) was failed to be mounted. Hello all, oVirt web interface doesn't write host's hostname in VNC connection info dialog. It writes only IP address. Is it possible to configure this somewhere? I remember the dialog wrote FQDN but it doesn't write it now, not sure how it got broken. Currently the connection dialog looks like this: ---- Please use your VNC client to connect to this VM. Use the following parameters: IP:Port: 192.168.30.140:5902 Password: WxGYrAg7wjXF (note: this password is valid for 120 seconds) ---- However I would like to configure it to write this: ---- Please use your VNC client to connect to this VM. Hello all, I installed an oVirt datacenter via "all-in-one" plugin, which means everything currently runs on one machine. I would like to add another host to this datacenter, it has it's own storage for virtual machine images, but oVirt refuses to add it with error "Cannot add more than one Host to "Local Storage" Data Center". Is it possible to configure this somewhere and add the host to the local_datacenter? Thank you in advance for response. Regards, Adam

Damiano, Thanks a lot for your answer. I just got vdsm compiled and installed on fresh FC17 (installed with live cd), used your 3.4.9 FC16 kernel. Yes, now, engine can add it as host, great. But engine still can't add NFS domain. Any idea what is happening?
