FC22: There is no ovirt-engine-reports* , ovirt-engine-dwh http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-3.6/rpm/fc22/noarch/ BUT in el7**, el6* they are availables http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-3.6/rpm/el7/noarch/ For oVirt 3.5 the packages exits: http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-3.5/rpm/fc20/noarch/ Searching I found in Jenkins: http://jenkins.ovirt.org/job/ovirt-reports_master_create-rpms-fc22-x86_64_c… http://jenkins.ovirt.org/job/ovirt-reports_master_create-rpms-fc22-x86_64_m… So I'm not sure if the Reports Portail is only available in a Centos/RHEV installation or if there is some problem with the sync on the repos. There is no documentation with any reference to this in the wiki or the mailing-list. [Node] Maintenance mode and update

Hello, I am concerned about maintenance mode and system updates. In which case it is essential to put host in maintenance mode? No worries for Content Updates requiring a reboot. But for example in the case of updates like VDSM* or kvm it seems essential, but is it? -- Lionel

Hosted engine storage "locked"

Hi, I've updated from 3.6.1 to 3.6.2 and was hoping that the issue with the hosted engine storage on FC not being imported would be solved. It managed to start the import but now my storage has been stuck in "Locked" for weeks. None of the options in the web UI are available except right click "Destroy". Is there any way to restart the import process so maybe I can keep an eye on the logs and find the issue? Cheers, Ollie

lvm_dev_whitelist vdsm.conf option

Hi, I am wondering what the lvm_dev_whitelist vdsm.conf option is for? I had some issues whith vdsm switching off logical volumes that it better should keep it's hands off. Could this option help to handle this? If this option is used for something else I would still want to know how I can control which logical volumes or even volume groups vdsm should not touch. thanks a lot and all the best Jojo @ LINBIT VIE

Expand hosted-engine disk?

I'm running oVirt 3.6.2 on CentOS 7.2, all up to date, with a hosted engine. The storage for the engine is on a dedicated iSCSI LUN. When I created the LUN, I made it 40G so I'd have a little more disk space for the engine (logs, ISOs, etc.), but then forgot to make the VM image larger than the default 25G. Is there an easy way to extend the image now? When I try to do that in the web GUI, I got the "Cannot edit Virtual Machine Disk. HI I have added new HP blade as a ovirt node to the engine while deploying a new instance in the newly added node vm is getting stuck ,serveral times I have rebooted the node but no luck. Below are the engine and node version. Engine version :oVirt Engine Version: 3.5.5-1.el6 Node version:oVirt Node - 3.5 - 0.999.201509102313.el7.centos When i deploy the same vm in the other nodes am not facing any issues. After updates - hosts become unresponsive once in a while

Hi all, Yesterday I updated a couple of my hosts to the latest CentOS packages as well as the latest ovirt packages, in the 3.5 series. All looks fine, but once every couple of hours a host becomes completely unresponsive, doesn't even ping. Engine takes care of this - fencing is done. Nothing to be found in the logs of the host itself, engine simply tells me host became unresponsive. Nothing else in the infra has changed. The other hosts, still at CentOS 7.1.1503, are fine, only the updated hosts at 7.2.1511 have this issue. I suspect a network driver issue somewhere, has anyone had the same experience so far? Hi, I planned for a new customer to use oVirt instead of competitor virtualization. Here are the environment: Server choices: 1. HP ProLiant ML10 v2: 1x Dual Core 3,1GHz with 12GB RAM 2. HP ProLiant ML110 Gen9: 1x Xeon 1,6GHz with 12GB RAM Harddisk: - Raid1 on two SATA 2TB drives Guests: - 1x Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2 - 2x CentOS 7 Clients: - 6 Windows Clients Will the ML10 v2 server serve the needed performance? Because its a way cheaper than the ML110. And will Windows Server 2012 run in oVirt, because on my test machine (HP ProLiant ML350 G5) it didn't (maybe the CPU is to old). regards gregor

Windows Server 2012R3 guest: BSOD

Hello, oVirt: 3.6.1 qemu: 2.3.0 I installed a Windows Server 2012R2 guest. The install is good, but when the guest boots into Windows, the Server 2012 version of the BSOD comes up,then goes to a "DOS" screen that has an error code '0xc0000001' I have tried using a VirtIO HDD and IDE; both result in the same error. Any ideas what the issue might be? CPU is Sandybridge, if that makes a difference. Regards, Alan

Dear All; I have oVirt Engine Version: 3.5.6.2-1.el6 with three nodesrunning standard Centos 6.7 64bit. The main data storage storage is on OpenFiler iScsi volume. After rebooting the three nodes; the main data storage domain is down and all the three hosts are marked as "Non Operational" When I try to activate any host; I get the below error message:- "Host XXXXX cannot access the Storage Domain(s) <UNKNOWN> attached to the Data Center Default. Stuck tasks in web UI

I'm running oVirt 3.6.2 on CentOS 7.2, all up to date, with a hosted engine. I tried to clone a VM and that failed (not sure why yet), but the first problem is that there are a couple of stuck tasks in the web UI from my attempts. The Events tab shows the tasks failed, and I ran "vdsClient -s 0 getAllTasksStatuses" on the SPM node, and it shows no tasks.
