[Users] HA and SPM host
by Marc Seward
Hi all,
In a 2 hypervisor setup,if host1 is fenced(host1 is also the SPM host) and
it has HA VMs running on it,would these VMs be started on host2 only after
host2 is elected as the SPM host?
Thanks for your help.

[Users] libgovirt 0.1.0

Hey,
I've just released libgovirt. libgovirt is a GObject C library to access
oVirt/RHEV REST API. At the moment, it's able to get the list of VMs
available on an oVirt instance, and to get the connection details for
a given VM.
It can be downloaded from
http://people.freedesktop.org/~teuf/govirt/libgovirt-0.1.0.tar.xz
It's signed with my GPG key:
A525 E3EA 186A AB45 DD0F 86AF 24A4 69FB 7A56 F78E
Changes since 0.0.3:
- Add OvirtVmDisplay::host_subject property, this is required in some cases
to connect to a VM which is using SPICE
- Add OvirtVmDisplay::smartcard and OvirtVmDisplay::allow-override
properties
- Implement ovirt_vm_refresh_async()

Re: [Users] iSCSI and snapshots
by Maor Lipchuk
Hi Juan,
When creating a snapshot, a new volume is should be created in the storage.
The snapshot should contain the VM configuration and the VM disks (not
including shareable disks and direct lun disks).
Which Ovirt version are you using?
What the audit log indicated? Was the operation succeeded?
Can u please add a print screen of your VM and snapshot?
Regards,
Maor

[Users] Nested virt failing
by Dax Kelson
I have Fedora 18 with ovirt running. I have vdsm-hook-nestedvt.noarch
installed on all the nodes.
The nodes are all identical with Intel i5-2400 CPUs (SandyBridge).
When I try to boot a nested virtual machine (L2) instead of a ovirt
virtual machine (L1), the kernel starts to load, and then that nested
virtual machines (L2) pauses.
On the host running Fedora 18 dmesg shows this message:
nested_vmx_run: VMCS MSR_{LOAD,STORE} unsupported
Reading this bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=892240
It looks like if the Fedora 18 ovirt nodes started the the L1 using
the "core2duo" CPU flag instead of host pass through it might work?
How do I do that, or are there other solutions?
TIA,
Dax Kelson

[Users] Incorrect disk size after "storage live migration"
by Ernest Beinrohr
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
--------------040502030906040708010500
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
I moved my 8 GB disk image live to another storage with ovirt 3.2.
Afterwards I removed the migration snapshot and suddenly my "Actual
disk" size is incorrent (1GB). "Virtual size" shows the correct 12 GB.
The physical disk (lv) is the correct size, as is my data.

Hi all,
I am having trouble importing a vm mkv to oVirt using virt-v2v, I wonder if have done this problem and how can I fix it.
I'm using Fedora18 + oVirt 3.2.1, virt-v2v 0.9.0.
Thanks to all

Hi Rene,
we deployed the plugin and noticed its flooding the event log with login
events for the user its using via the REST API.
can you please add persistent session to the REST API calls so login
will happen only once and won't flood the log?

Thanks,
Itamar
