[Users] host is non responsive!!

hi all.
My name is Atsushi Nakashima
my oVirt engine and host is one same host.
configure host, state is non responsive.
configuration process.
1. install fedora 16.
2. yum update
3. set up bridge ovirtmgmt
ifcfg-p5p1
DEVICE=p5p1
ONBOOT=yes
BRIDGE=ovirtmgmt
ifcfg-ovirtmgmt
DEVICE=ovirtmgmt
TYPE=Bridge
ONBOOT=yes
DELAY=0
BOOTPROTO=static
IPADDR=192.168.1.11
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
4. sudo wget http://www.ovirt.org/releases/stable/fedora/16/ovirt-engine.repo -P /etc/yum.repos.d/
5. sudo yum install -y ovirt-engine
6. sudo engine-setup
7. url http://192.168.1.11/webadmin on web browser
8. expand all -> new ->
hostname z9plus
IP : 192.168.1.11
installed some package.
after reboot, host status is non responsive
what's idea?

Anyone was able to get a successful installation of ovirt-engine on RHELS 6.2?
When I try to do rpm install of virt-engine on rhel6.2 I'm getting following errors:

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem

Error: Cannot deactivate Data Domain while there are running tasks in the

I am using the port #8080 and 8443
I think I have to update the browser. Please let me know if you have any

[Users] browser shows blank page for admin portal

Hi Team,
I was able to install ovirt-engine and spice-apxi on fc16.
When i am trying to connect to the admin portal using the firefox 3.5 which
is available on the fc by default, It is able to connect to portal but
shows only blank page.
Any idea on this issue? Please help.

[Users] FQDN issue with ovirt engine-setup

Hi Team,
I am facing some issue with the fqdn resolution while running the
engin-setup.
I donot have a DNS setup, so i am using the hosts file for fqds resolution.
Even though the fqdn is added to the /etc/hosts file the engine-setup is
not resolving it. ( this is because of the normal behaviour of the nslookup
commnd)
So, i used the option to continue the setup without resolving the fqdn. But
after completing the setup i can see the war and ear files failing to
deploy on jboss with java error of name resolution.
Please help me to resolve the issue.

[Users] cli: how to get value of a parameter

Hello,
going through http://www.ovirt.org/wiki/CLI to see some syntax hints.
I don't see a way to get parameter of an object.
For example if I want to see the size of a vmpool, how can I do it?
And is it possible to store values as variables and use then them for
further commands?
I can run something like this but it seems quite unoptimezed...
output redirection to see how many vms are up in a pool:
[oVirt shell (connected)]# list vms --kwargs
"vmpool-id=eba78b0e-6512-11e1-80c4-5254008e81ee;status-state=up" >
/tmp/testfile
[oVirt shell (connected)]# shell grep id /tmp/testfile | wc -l
2
shell command to see the size of the pool itself, so can I add more
vms to it if the previous :
[oVirt shell (connected)]# show vmpool --name mypool
id : eba78b0e-6512-11e1-80c4-5254008e81ee
name : mypool
cluster-id : 99408929-82cf-4dc7-a532-9d998063fa95
size : 2
I would like only the size value and use it then...

[Users] How to use CLI to create localfs storage domain?

I need to create a localfs to store VMiso images. That is my engine and
storage
domain are both on the same machine. I tried the following but was in error.

question is what "host-id" I need to use in this case? I used the
ovirt-node's
host-id but apparently was wrong.
