[vdsm] about package release number

Hi all, it was recently pointed out that Vdsm 4.18.3 rpms have -0 release number, like in rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/vdsm-4.18.3-0.fc23.x86_64.rpm But this is OK only for packages built from master. From stable branch and official releases, we should have something like rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/vdsm-4.18.3-1.c2e510e.fc23.x86_64.rpm or perhaps just rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/vdsm-4.18.3-1.fc23.x86_64.rpm To quickly unblock 4.0, I posted https://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/59337/ - please consider this a quick fix and review as such To properly address the versioning, I posted my take here https://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/q/topic:new-release This is not marked a draft, yet I posted mostly as discussion material, I'm not confident this is really (or completely) the proper way to go. oVirt 4.0 Nightly repo

All stable branch maintainers, I just noticed that our oVirt 4.0 nightly repo ( http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/ovirt-4.0-snapshot/ ) still includes a lot of packages from master branches. Can you please ensure that our jenkins is building your project packages in order to compose the 4.0 nightly repo from a stable branch? If not, you have to push a patch like https://gerrit.ovirt.org/59150/ to correctly configure the publisher job for 4.0 nightly. thanks, Simone

Hi Ravi and all, I am reporting the following as this may cause potential issues: *File:* backend/manager/modules/enginesso/src/main/resources/messages *Resource ID:* UNSUPPORTED_PARAMETER_IN_REQUEST *String: *The request contains unsupported parameter value '%s' for parameter '%s'. *Question: *Using the same variables in a single sentence would cause problem when it is translated as the order of words may be changed. [ANN] oVirt 4.0.0 GA postponed to Monday, June 20

Hi, In order to give time to fix some last minute blockers, the GA is pushed to Monday, June 20. This should provide sufficient time for us to properly fix and test oVirt 4.0, in order to make sure we have no critical issues in the 4.0.0 version, that was originally scheduled for today. GWT developer mode not working on fc23?

Undelivered mail warnings from Gerrit

Hi, for the last two weeks I've been getting lots of warnings about undelivered mail from Gerrit. The importnat thing in the message being: The original message was received at Wed, 1 Jun 2016 14:57:54 -0400 from gerrit.ovirt.org [127.0.0.1] ----- Transcript of session follows ----- <vdsm-patches(a)fedorahosted.org>... Deferred: Connection timed out with hosted-lists01.fedoraproject.org. Warning: message still undelivered after 4 hours Will keep trying until message is 5 days old Anyone else experiencing the same problem? oVirt 3.6.7 RC4 merge / tag / bugzilla reminder

All stable branch maintainers, please make sure to merge all relevant open bugs until Tuesday morning 11:00 AM TLV time. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=target_milestone%3A3.6.… Every package build (i.e oVirt product) - please make sure every bug in MODIFIED has the right Target Release and Target Milestone. A Target release should state the version of the package you're building and should include the same version you used for the tag you just used for this build. (e.g. for ovirt-engine, tag: ovirt-engine-3.6.7, tr: 3.6.7) Thanks, Rafael Martins

Fyi oVirt developers, An oVirt build is planned for this Tuesday 11:00 AM TLV time (10:00 AM CEST). Taking into consideration the time it takes for Jenkins to run a full CI everything need to be backported by Monday 11PM.
