Hey, well, that errors are due to some aspectj magic we are doing related to the fact that we are using the same entities on FE and BE and need to hack the GWT optimization to make this work. Long story short, please feel free to ignore that errors, that are not errors in fact but debug messages and are presented as error due to an unrelated bug :) So, if the "GWT Development Mode" window shows up you are free to continue. [Engine-devel] Playing with GWT Super Dev Mode

Hi guys, I wrote a patch [1] that adds the ability to debug WebAdmin using GWT Super Dev Mode, an alternative to current (Classic) Dev Mode. [1] http://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/26093/ I've encountered some issues, for some reason calls to GWT RPC server endpoint /ovirt-engine/webadmin/GenericApiGWTService fail with HTTP 500 (internal server error). The way Super Dev Mode works is selector script (webadmin.nocache.js) loads actual permutation files from Super Dev Mode's "code" server at localhost:9876 - JS inside makes GWT RPC calls which fails, not sure if this is due to "experimental" stage of Super Dev Mode in GWT 2.5.1 or if its related to direct-eval RPC implementation in use. You can take the patch above and play with it, in the worst case I will abandon it and revisit when we upgrade to newer GWT version (which will fully support Super Dev Mode). As you might already know, GWT team is focusing on Super Dev Mode in the long term, as maintaining different browser plugins for GWT debugging (used with Classic Dev Mode) is problematic; for example, recent Firefox versions have issues with GWT Developer Plugin. Dear Devel Community Members, We are having a small discussion on patch: http://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/25633/, bug 1065753 - "Maintenance operations on a VM would ask for an optional reason" (adding a note to stop/shutdown VM, that will be cleared when the VM go up). The proposed solution is to add a free text field in the VM entity, and to update it in command's parameters (StopVmParmas.. etc.). I think slightly different, my alternative is to enhance the current free text (comment field) into XML, and allow to add multiple comments that include types. You are welcome to read more about it in the patch's comments. Thoughts? Thanks, Gilad.

[Engine-devel] php on jboss

i need a php file to execute some bash scripts on the server, but when i integrate the ui-plugin ot the ovirt portal, it does not find path to my .php file. I have the HTML where as .PHP residing in the same location, can someone guide on uploading PHP files on JBOSS server, since ovirt runs on it.. if i want to run a PHP file, where should i save it? -- -Aditya Mamidwar
