Hi,
We had a failure in test : 004_basic_sanity.verify_glance_import

The issue is actually with engine loosing connection to host and assuming
there was a failure.
however, I could not find a failure in the vdsm which would be related to
this issue.
Please note that there is a NPE in the engine log for trying to update the
task status which I think is something that should be addressed.

[IMPORTANT] getting rid of our implementation of UUID generation in 4.2.1

Hi
We had decided to drop our UUID generation function from DB in 4.2.1 and
use the one provided by PG (using an extension)
Please note that once this patch [1] is merged , you will have to do the
following steps in your env in order that it will continue working.
1) make sure that the postgresql-contrib is installed on your machine
(yum/dnf install postgresql-contrib -y)
2) run the following command from psql prompt while logging in with a DB
admin (postgres) user
a) DROP FUNCTION IF EXISTS uuid_generate_v1();
b) CREATE EXTENSION "uuid-ossp";'
3) validate from psql prompt by :
# select * from pg_available_extensions where name = 'uuid-ossp' and
installed_version IS NOT NULL;
You should get the following result

vdsm stable branch maitainership

Hello,
I would like to nominate Milan Zamazal and Petr Horacek as maintainers
of vdsm stable branches. This job requires understanding of vdsm
packaging and code, a lot of attention to details and awareness of the
requirements of other components and teams.
I believe that both Milan and Petr have these qualities. I am certain
they would work in responsive caution when merging and tagging patches
to the stable branches.
