It should not take a full hour to migrate as we already made incremental synchronization with the current system but better keep some margin. The system will then take over delivery of the mails but might be a bit slow at first as it needs to reindex all the archived mails (which might take a few hours). To manage your subscriptions and delivery settings you can do this easily on the much nicer web interface (https://lists.ovirt.org) There is a notion of account so you don't need to login separately for each ML.= You can Sign In using Fedora, GitHub or Google or create a local account if you prefer. Please keep in mind signing in with a different method would create separate accounts (which cannot be merged at the moment). But you can easily link your account to other authentication methods in your settings (click on you name in the up-right corner -> Account -> Account Connections). As for the original mail archives, because the previous system did not have stable URLs, we cannot create mappings to the new pages. We decided to keep the old archives around on the same URL (/pipermail), so the Internet links would still work fine. Adding s390 support to oVirt

Hi, as a heads up: I'd like to contribute some basic support for the s390 architecture to oVirt. For that purpose I'll post some patches to gerrit, mostly for the following repositories: VDSM, ovirt-engine-api-model and ovirt-engine. There might be some collateral patches that need to go into ovirt-host[-deploy] since not all of the pre-requisite RPMs are available on s390, but this probably needs a separate discussion. oVirt CI now supports Fedora 27 and Fedora Rawhide

Over the TLV shut-down we took the time to add support for using Fedora 27 as well as Fedora Rawhide in the oVirt CI system. To use Fedora 27 just use 'fc27' as you would for other Fedora versions in the CI YAML files and/or file extensions in the 'automation/' directory. Code owners configuration for GitHub projects

Hi, I recently noticed GitHub enabled a feature that allows specifying code owners for different pieces of code: https://github.com/blog/2392-introducing-code-owners It should supposedly automatically add the proper reviewers to patches. We have similar feature enabled in Gerrit and it might make sense for our GitHub specific projects to do the same. (It might even make sense to follow the same format in Gerrit) Martin Sivak

How to contribute to oVirt Ansible modules

Hello all, As you might already know oVirt has it's Ansible modules for interacting with oVirt via API using Python SDK. These modules are part of Ansible github repository. If you are considering to contribute any new feature to any oVirt Ansible module, there is written a guide[1] specifically for oVirt modules. There is also a general guide[2] for developing Ansible module, which oVirt modules follow as well. So before contributing please read those two guides, which should help to do contribution. Rebasing master Fedora to 27?

Hi, there's a bit of a mess in Jenkins around master on Fedora with some packages built only for version 25 and other only for 26. With Fedora 27 going to be released on November 7th and being it already supported by Jenkins CI, I would suggest to mass migrate master to Fedora 27. If so, could you please include a variable representing the product name (i.e. Welcome to {0}), so that we are able to change the order of the word required by the language we translated into. In Japanese, order will have to be reversed (i.e. oVirt Open Virtualization Manager にようこそ). I've been maintaining the ovirt-guest-agent related things for about half a year (Vinzenz Feenstra is no longer with us). Recently I've been also granted merge rights to the project on Gerrit. taskset (in supervdsm) for all CPUs?

I'm looking at some supervdsm log, and I'm seeing these commands: /usr/bin/taskset --cpu-list 0-55 /usr/libexec/vdsm/fc-scan and: /usr/bin/taskset --cpu-list 0-55 /usr/bin/mount -t nfs -o soft,nosharecache,timeo=600,retrans=6 10.10.10.1:/NFS/images And so on (also for iscsiadm). Why do we need to taskset commands if we allow them to run on all CPUs? Why would we allow them to run on all CPUs anyway?
