Dear oVirt Board members!
During the last oVirt Board meeting it was discussed and decided that the oVirt project
would benefit from the formation of a marketing team to help tackle events, messaging, and
community outreach. While I'm sure you've all been busy, I'm hoping that each
of you has had the time over the last few weeks to consider who you'd like to have
join this team and help drive this project forward.
I'd like to have a list put together ASAP so that we can start tackling outstanding
items coming out of the meeting. There are quite a few initiatives on the table for this
year, such as the discussed event in San Francisco parellel to VMworld, and I'm
looking forward to making them successful with as much planning time as possible. If you
can't provide a name for any reason, or are have additional questions that have
surfaced since the meeting, please reach out to me. I look forward to hearing back from
you.
I know I met some of you during the oVirt workshop at the Netapp campus, but I realize
there's a strong possibility that some of you are at this point wondering who I am.
In short, I'm the newest member to the Open Source and Standards Group at Redhat. I
will be primarily be focused on helping make oVirt a success and I'm greatly looking
forward to digging in with you and the members of the soon to be formed marketing team to
help make oVirt a success.
Regards,
